In recent months, many of you have made concerned comments regarding my recent weight loss. Thank you for the concern.
As a result of the outpouring of support, I am starting a new fundraising campaign called "Take Me To Dinner".
I know many of you go out to dinner quite frequently. I would like for you to consider donating the cost of one meal out to my program, to help sustain both me, and the C.L.A.E.R. Project.
All donations are tax deductible. Our tax ID number is 943273367.
Checks can be made out to:
C.L.A.E.R./I.C.Y. and sent to
1099 Sunnydale Avenue
San Francisco, CA 94134
Thank you for everything,

10/27 UPDATE Samoan Aid
On 9/22 many of you attended our Brown Bag Lunch: Samoa/West Samoa lecture. The discussion was well attended, and gave us all a greater understanding of the region and our neighbors. A little over a week after that session, the area was hit by a disaster that killed hundreds, and left even more without shelter or food.
This Tuesday, the C.L.A.E.R. Project, in conjunction the Samoan Community Development Center, will be holding an update session for those groups and individuals who have been involved in providing aid to the region in the weeks since it was devastated by a tsunami on September 30th.
While the San Francisco Bay Area has offer much aid and support the the region, there is still much work to be done, and this intimate discussion will serve as a way to coordinate a comprehensive strategy for support.
What: A discussion on efforts thus far, and effort still needed
When: 10/27/09 12pm-2pm
Where: 1099 Sunnydale Avenue
Please RSVP by replying to this email, or calling 415-333-3017.
We look forward to this substantive and solution oriented discussion.
